The actual question:

It's a bit of a worry. This morning I was rushing out the door, and so grabbed the first pair of shoes that I found. These are pretty much summery shoes, flats with cutout bits, including the toes.

Then after I was well outside on the way to work, I remembered... It's winter. Oh yeah. 

I'm wearing long, black pants. 

So.. what would you then do?
